Did yall see the dunk contest? I know yall did, hip hop and basketball go together like (insert corny punchline hear)... why do you think Sprite keeps getting basketball players and endorsing hip hop events? If you haven't, youtube it... but I was thinking, This Rap industry is kinda like the dunk contest...
A dunk being a hit, and whoever has the best trick or gimmick wins... the more talented gimmicks don't win over the gimmicks wit an image and trick... the Veterans are the ones who judge the game now, yet many people don't know the history of those dunkers, or hitmakers... there is not as much originality as there used to be, everyone thinks the contest will fade away because people will stop coming up with different ways to dunk, or make a hit... its just so much, but the main one is that some old nigga always complains on how back in the day it was different, he starts naming people you bearly remember and says " Now they knew how to dunk (Make a hit) "...
I mean think about it, the dunk contest is a lot like todays industry... even down to superman playing a big part of todays top dunks/ Hits... Ya Dig? Holla back on what you think in the comments...
