-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now for those who know me, know that I am a Mixtape Messiah fan... maybe even before I am a Chamillionaire fan... Everyone knows that Chamillionaire is among the most successful mainstream rappers in the game without a doubt, check the Forbes list and the Billboards.

Chamillionaire has been one of my favorites since way back... (Being that I am from Houston's own Northside...) his marketing scheme has been ahead of it's time... way back to even "GET YOUR MIND CORRECT," which I believe was in the Source when they weren't signed or voted as one of the best indy albums of that year, featuring Paul Wall (I'm not completly sure, but if Chamillionaire would leave me a comment correcting me...).

Southern legend has it that, supposedly Chamillionaire's first Mixtape Messiah sold over 40,000 units at $11 a CD, with no mainstream support. That's just crazy!? His main thing was that he let the fans know that he appreciated them. I know a few people remember the Chamillionaire forums back in the day, he would run contests and let fans win everything from exclusive album art that he designed to video game consoles. Also, he used to stay after every show and sign all the CDs and merchandise for any fan who wanted it. Now that’s one of my favorite indie keys to success (The Fans).

When he finally signed his major label deal, he went a modest gold off of his Lil Flip-assisted “Turn It Up,” single, but Chamillie really showed the game his worth with “Ridin’ Dirty,” boosting those album sales to 1.5 million, and adding another 4 mill in ringtones sales (Which was a record at the time, I don't know about now... but if Chamillionaire would leave me a comment correcting me...). Keep in mind, this was when nobody was really selling albums. He has also managed to make sure he satisfies his cult following (on purpose) by throwing out regular mixtape messiah installments. (Check the Ozone results to see what Mixtape Messiah 3 did...)

Mixtape Messiah 4 dropped on the 27th of august, and he’s selling it on his website. He has no shame in calling out the bootleggers and the downloaders who take away from his profit, like any real northside rapper... (if you only knew, it's so Houston to disrespect your local bootlegger...)

And to be real,I bought it. I had to, I couldn't find a copy online for a while... and if you like his music enough, you should do the same

Google “mixtape messiah” and DL the first 3. The second and third are free, and all of them are great. The first is a pure classic and my favorite, right up there with Wayne's Dedication.
